Halloween Witch
I made this card for my mom. She belongs to a doll club and they are always looking for "doll" type items. I made a set of cards for my mom to take along to her next meeting. They don't have membership dues, but they raise club money by having members donate items to "raffle". I thought this would make a fun raffle item for her to bring. The stamp was a bargain find this week at Ocean State Job Lot. It only cost $1. It's from Inkadinkadoo/Tin Can Mail. It's probably an old stamp, but it's new to me. I kept the card simple because I think the "witch" is so cute on her own. Thanks for stopping by.

It's been ages since I've posted, or even had any time for stampin' and craftin', but here's my card for Forest's swap. Not too much stamping here as the designer papers gave it all the colors. It's a little busy, but Tropical. It reminds me of the Froot Loops toucan with the froot loops on the background paper.

Here is my card for this week's Crafty Ho's Challenge. I've missed the last two weeks, so I wanted to make sure I got back on track. I just got the dp at TJMaxx this morning while I was shopping for a wedding shower gift. I didn't know how much crafty shopping could be done at TJMaxx. I settled for this 8x8 pack of Boys paper, but I can't guarantee that I won't be back there for more. My picture didn't come out the best, but there are holes poked along the right edge. The stamps are from SU. The designer paper is DCWV All About Boys.
Coach Purse
So last weekend we took our younger two daughters, my husband's brother, wife and daughter and we all went to Atlantic City. A little crazy taking 3 kids under 10 to such a gambling city but we had a great deal on accommodations that needed to be used and it's so hard to get a babysitter for 3 kids for the weekend. So we decided to take the kids and take turns having "adult time" as couples. It ended up being a wonderful weekend. They had a blast chasing pigeons off the boardwalk, went to the zoo and ate in some nice restaurants. The hit was the pool on the top floor of our hotel. If they had only gone there, the weekend would have been a sucess. I learned a few things about my sister-in-law too. She is a "Coach" purse collector. Apparently she has 5 genuine purses and several "knock-offs". I have heard of coach purses but never looked at one or thought I needed one..........................until I walked in their store. My sil walked past the factory store in the outlets section of town because she said she was just going to buy a knockoff on the boardwalk. So she and her husband spent hours one night stopping in every shop on the boardwalk looking for the perfect bag. She didn't ever find one that she felt the need to purchase, but never went to the factory store either. They left the night before we did so we had a day with just our kids and we went back to the outlets to look around a little more before heading home. When we walked by the Coach store again I told my family I just needed to go in the store and look to see what the great fascination is with this store and why my sil would be satisfied with a knockoff bag when she could get one nice bag instead of a handful of imitation ones. (two days earlier when we were near there we saw a line of about 30 women waiting to get into the store). As soon as I walked in a nice saleswoman handed me a postcard for 20% off my purchase. The rest is history. I found this crazy printed flowery bag and I really liked it. My husband wanted to buy it for me, but waited for me to ask him if he thought I should. Since we didn't gamble all our money in the casinos, I decided I would get it. So I am now a proud owner of my first Coach original pocketbook....................................now if I just had the matching wallet, the scarf, change purse, umbrella, etc.
It's my sister-in-law's birthday on Monday and I thought it would be fun to make her a pocketbook gift bag so I tried to copy mine. I dug through my letter stamps and my SU stamps looking for flowers that were similar.

Asian Swap
This is card number 1 for Paola's Asian Swap. I love the background stamp. It's from Cornish
Heritage Farms. The peace stamp is from the SU set, I think it's called Serenity.

Ok, so I can't seem to get any stamping accomplished through the week, but I don't want to miss out on the Crafty Ho's Weekly Challenge. Yes, Saturday is the last day to post your challenge card. So here is mine based on the lovely sketch that was provided. I was reminded by my friend, Gael, that SU paper packs are so fun to work with because everything matches. So I went digging and the first thing I came across was a Simply Scrappin' Friends and Flowers kit that I had used all but this one scrap of the designer paper, but had lots of embellishements left. The Birthday Banter cow was already in the pile cut and ready to be colored. I guess it was just waiting for this challenge.

This is my card for the March Sisterhood Swap. You needed somebody green. I got this adorable turtle in a set from my friend for my birthday. He's from Clear Dollar Stamps in a "Cute Critters" set. The background paper is from Basic Grey. I think it's a new line called Origins. I thought it had some nice green colors to complement Mr. Turtle. I didn't know turtles were so hooked on carrots, but hey, we've all got to watch our calorie intake, don't we.
I think he's glad Spring is coming.

Puppy Six Pack
I made this card for a six pack challenge my friend, Gael, invited me to. The "stamp" background is from SCS and the puppy is Scooter from Imaginesce. Grey taffeta ribbon and my heart punch. He's a cute little guy who is supposed to pack his bags and travel to see the world.

Luigi is all ready for Valentine's Day. He's got his heart pizza all baked and he's good to go. Thank you Jeanette for all the images. I really love this guy. I thought about making just one and hoarding all the images for myself, but he's too cute not to share with Grandma's and great friends so he's multiplied. I even broke out my new Basic Grey Sugar Rush paper so everything would match. Please note he has on his Williams Sonoma oven mitts keeping him in style. The heart border is from Fiskars. The heart charm is from Lost & Found jewlery closures that I found in Michael's last week.

This is my January Sisterhood card. It's to celebrate who we are based on when we were born. My birthday is December 14th so I decided to go with the glitter and glam of the holiday season and add the birthday cake to celebrate. The Poinsettia is the birth flower for December and I picked up a Prisma poinsettia pack a few weeks back. It was fun to get to use them. The background papers are from the Basic Grey Wassil line.
Daughter's Valentine Skunk
My 6 year old and I made this skunk valentine holder. We found the instructions in the current Pack O Fun magazine we picked up at the library. You cut the top off a 2 liter soda bottle, paint it black and then make the other pieces from a pattern you print from their website. They made theirs with craft foam, but we used cardstock. The white is done with a detail paint bottle. We added the googlie eyes. Everybody around here needs Googlie eyes. Wish we had invented them!! He was really a fun project that went together pretty easily.
